Bellevue police arrest suspect in organized golf-store theft investigation
The Bellevue Police Department (BPD) arrested a 36-year-old man accused of stealing merchandise from a Bellevue golf retailer.
Two accomplices were reportedly involved, but police have not made any further arrests.
The incident happened Sept. 10 at about 3:28 p.m. at a golf store in the 1600 block of 140th Avenue NE, BPD told KIRO Newsradio.
“They went into the store and stole several items of merchandise totaling $3,000,” BPD spokesman Drew Anderson said. “When they were getting away from the scene, one of the suspects actually assaulted one of the victims, one of the workers at the store.”
Tips from victims and the public helped identify a suspect, according to Anderson.
