Most of New Mexico will be sunny and dry Wednesday
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Southeast New Mexico may see a couple of showers or storms this afternoon but not many as most of the state is looking dry and sunny Wednesday.
The Rio Puerco is forecast to crest again – but not as high as Monday – before gradually falling later today and Thursday.
Rain chances increase across southern New Mexico for Thursday afternoon and evening. There could be some spots of heavy rain late in the day, especially more over southeast New Mexico. By Friday, the best rain chance will be over eastern New Mexico. We do have a small chance for a shower or storm in the afternoon or evening across western New Mexico and Albuquerque.
Rain could increase late in the weekend with a better chance for heavy rain in more places by Sunday. That includes the Four Corners area.
Meteorologist Alan Shoemaker shares all the details in his full forecast in the video above.
