3 people injured in accident involving AC Transit bus and pedestrian, Oakland authorities say

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Three people were taken to the hospital in Oakland Wednesday evening, the result of an accident involving an AC Transit bus and a pedestrian.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. at International Boulevard and 34th Avenue, about a block from the Fruitvale BART station.

It's unclear what happened, but the Oakland Fire Department said a pedestrian and two bus passengers were transferred to the hospital with minor injuries.

AC Transit's Tempo line runs along International Boulevard.

Its real-time departure tracker says two buses at the stop had been canceled, but others are running as scheduled.
