First Alert Forecast: Warm, bright Thursday; unsettled weekend ahead
THURSDAY: A cool, quiet start gives way to plenty of sunshine and unseasonable warmth with highs in the lower 80s - about 10 degrees above normal. A few clouds sneak back late - though, we’ll stay dry with overnight lows dropping into the upper 50s to lower 60s.
FRIDAY: Friday brings a gradual increase in clouds through the course of the day. Highs will top out around 80. We’ll remain rain-free, making for great Friday evening plans. Milder, muggier air moves in overnight as lows hold in the lower to middle 60s.
EXTENDED: Halloween Saturday turns mainly cloudy; a good portion of the day will stay dry, though shower chances will increase Saturday evening and night. It will not be a washout, but trick-or-treaters should keep umbrellas nearby, just in case - mainly west of the Mississippi River. Mainly cloudy skies and periods of rain linger early Sunday in the lower to middle 70s. Better rain and storm chances arrive late Election Day Tuesday into Wednesday before cooler 60s arrive late next week.
