PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Thieves made off with a truckload of meat in a second cargo heist this week in Philadelphia.
Police responded to the 6200 block of Milnor Street in the city's Tacony section just after 5 a.m. on Thursday after a big rig driver reported that someone had broken into his trailer.
Officials say they are working to determine how much beef was stolen.
Action News was at the scene, where you could see the inside of the trailer was completely empty. However, a few cases of beef were found scattered in the parking lot nearby.
Police are searching nearby cameras but, so far, have not released any suspect information.
This comes after 3,000 lbs. of crab legs were stolen from a semi in Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday.
That cargo theft happened around 4 a.m. on Tuesday in the 3600 block of Island Avenue.
The driver said he was ran off by the suspects after trying to confront them during the heist.
The investigation into both remains ongoing.
