Vehicle catches fire, causes traffic delays on I-40, per TDOT

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A vehicle fire is causing early morning delays in traffic on Interstate 40.

Crews responded to a vehicle fire on I-40 westbound near mile marker 13.8 at Whitten Road, reported at 1:57 a.m. CT Thursday.

Three left lanes of four and the left shoulder are blocked.

Crews have been on scene since 2 a.m.

It is unclear whether there were any injuries.
