Albuquerque Tango Festival kicks off Thursday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Over 700 people are expected to attend the 16th annual Albuquerque Tango Festival, set for Oct. 29-Nov. 1.

The four-day event is set to take place at the Embassy Suites near I-25. It starts with a social dance – a milonga – Thursday at 8 p.m. That goes until 2 a.m. Friday morning and then classes start during the day.

There are classes and milongas planned throughout the day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It wraps up with a milonga Sunday from 8 p.m. to midnight.
