San Antonio’s Día de los Muertos traditions took center stage during the 14th annual Muertos Fest, where a procession brought the community together to honor loved ones who have died.

The three-day celebration returned to Hemisfair from Oct. 23-25, bringing families, artists, musicians and visitors together to remember those who have passed away through art, music and cultural traditions.

The procession was one of the ways festivalgoers celebrated the lives and legacies of loved ones, reflecting the spirit of Día de los Muertos — a tradition centered on remembering the dead and celebrating the connections that remain.
