More than 2.29 million voters have cast ballots early in person across the state.
As of 1:35 p.m. Thursday, 2,294,275 Georgians had voted early in person, surpassing the previous record of 2,289,951 set during the 2022 midterm election.
When accounting for absentee ballots cast by mail, overall turnout as a percentage of active registered voters remains on pace with total 2022 turnout.

In addition to in-person participation, state election officials reported that 108,251 absentee ballots had been accepted as of 1:35 p.m. Thursday.
Raffensperger attributed the turnout to voter confidence and county administration.
“Georgians continue to head to the polls in record numbers because they trust the system,” Raffensperger said. “This record-breaking in-person early voting turnout wouldn’t be possible without our county elections officials who work every day to ensure our elections are free, fair and fast.”
In-person early voting in Georgia concludes Friday. Polling locations across the state will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
