Jacksonville Beach schedules holiday office closures and waste delays

Jacksonville Beach municipal offices will close on select dates in November for Veterans Day and Thanksgiving, prompting schedule adjustments for local waste collection. The city also announced community events taking place throughout the month.

City offices will be closed on Nov. 11 for Veterans Day. Municipal offices will also close on Nov. 26 and Nov. 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

In addition to holiday closures, community happenings in Jacksonville Beach during November include the Super Girl Surf Festival, live music at the Seawalk Pavilion, and the return of Deck the Chairs.

Waste Pro will not provide trash collection services on Nov. 26 in observance of Thanksgiving. Because of the holiday pause, trash collection services scheduled for Thursday and Friday of that week will be delayed by one day.

Collection services normally scheduled for Nov. 26 will take place on Nov. 27. Collection services scheduled for Nov. 27 will be moved to Nov. 28.
