HADDONFIELD, New Jersey (WPVI) -- An ordinary instrument has provided an extraordinary opportunity for seniors to step out of their comfort zone and hum to the tune of 'The Golden Kazoos.'
The band started at Mabel Kay Senior Center, where it is just one of various programs offered to seniors.
Since last year, they have performed at the senior center's functions in addition to fall festivals and at an assisted living home.
They hope to score a half-time performance at some kind of sporting event. But an even greater hope is to get seniors out of their houses and into a community of supportive contemporaries.
Anyone interested in learning more or joining the Golden Kazoos can watch the video above or visit their Facebook page.
