The warrants, filed at Cherokee County Magistrate Court, say the two young men conspired with an unidentified juvenile suspect to provide weapons, and had planned outfits and discussed buying body armor, video cameras and combat boots.
They obtained a floor plan of the school, and selected a date: August 20,2027.
Parents say revelations of the mass shooting plan are deeply disturbing.
“The fact that someone from California, someone from south Georgia and a former student were all plotting at the same time. It’s scary. Where do they communicate?” said parent Alex Cruz.
The FBI spotted threatened social media messages related to the alleged shooting plot and notified Cherokee County School police and Canton Police.
“During the process of the investigation and serving the warrant, they detected weapons, ammunition and electronic devices which they took in for evidence,” said Canton Police spokesman Office Pacer Cordry.

Others parents praised law enforcement authorities for working together to stop the planned attack.

Parents lining up outside the high school Thursday afternoon also expressed relief over the arrests. One formerly lived in England.
“Well, it’s a little terrifying. Obviously, school shootings are a very big thing here in the states. Happens to close to home where my child goes to school,” said parent Tony Kroukamp.
The suspects are charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
