Ex-superintendent Feagins exposed herself to MSCS staffer before firing her, lawsuit claims
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A lawsuit filed Thursday claims former Memphis-Shelby County Schools Superintendent Dr. Marie Feagins repeatedly exposed herself to a staff member before firing her.
The lawsuit was filed by Camalyn Turner, who was a special assistant to the superintendent in 2024.
In the lawsuit, Turner claims Feagins exposed herself in August 2024, at Feagins’ apartment.
Turner said she was called downstairs to listen to a conversation and when she got to the staircase, saw Feagins standing at the foot of the stairs completely naked.
The next day, stripped Turner of her position and told her she would be transferred and paid less, the lawsuit claims.
Feagins allegedly exposed herself again in October and demanded Turner come to her home and dress her.
When she declined, Feagins allegedly said, “I don’t know why you are acting like you haven’t seen a naked woman before.”
Turner said she was forced to resign 11 days later.
The lawsuit claims sexual harassment, sex discrimination, retaliation and constructive discharge.
Turner is asking for back pay and compensatory damages.
