Work to begin on I-40 next week near Clines Corners
TORRANCE COUNTY, N.M. – A nearly $1.1 million pavement project on I-40 near Clines Corners will bring lane closures and possible delays next week.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation said the work will begin Nov. 2 on I-40 from milepost 216 to milepost 218 in the Clines Corners area.
The project includes an overlay on the existing asphalt and re-striping of the roadway. The department said the asphalt application extends the life of the road without full reconstruction.
Drivers can expect a single-lane closure with flagging operations during work hours. Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The department said people can get updated information by calling 511.
