7-Seed Albuquerque High Scores Two Goals in Second Half to Defeat 10-Seeded Sandia, 3-1

ALUBUQUERQUE, N.M. — In a cross town state soccer matchup, 7-seeded Albuquerque High defeated 10-seeded Sandia, 3-1.

The match was tied at halftime at 1-1. The Bulldogs took the lead midway through the second half after Hope Sells scored the goal to make it 2-1.

The Bulldogs now advance to the Class 5A State Quarterfinals. They are set to travel and face Organ Mountain (20-0-1) on Saturday Oct. 31.
