New Mexico United Gearing Up For The USL Playoffs

ALUBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The USL Western Conference runs through the land of enchantment.

The New Mexico United earned the top seed and will host a team they know well on Sunday Nov. 1 in the Phoenix Rising FC.

This will be the fourth match these two clubs have played against one another. The United are winners of the last two matchups with both wins coming at home at The Lab.

Head Coach Dennis Sanchez says having home field is key, not just for facing Phoenix but for any opponent they may face these playoffs.

“Having our supporters and playing at home is a clear advantage for us that we have to try to utilize. So, again, it was something that we think about goals and objectives throughout the season. First one’s making playoffs. Second one’s winning the Western Conference so we can secure a home field advantage. So we feel like that’s a big one. It’s going to help us, be really successful. As we move towards, our reach, our ultimate goal”, said Sanchez.

First kick is set for 4 p.m. at RGCU Field @ Isotopes Park.
