Letter: Fix simple things before taking on big projects

As a parent of a newborn, I cannot overemphasize the frustration that I have had while obtaining a birth certificate from the state Department of Health. After weekly phone calls with incompetent DOH employees, it took nearly 90 days for the document to be mailed. One DOH employee informed my wife “no” when she inquired about getting a rough estimate of when the birth certificate would be available.
