Halloween weekend brings a little rain chance
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Halloween weekend is here and our rain chance remains in the forecast.
Changes begin today as clouds and humidity begin to ramp up.
We could see a few sprinkle showers late in the day and into this evening.
Friday’s 20% chance for a shower is the first rain chance in nearly three weeks.
The real focus is Halloween, when the chance of showers rises to 40%, with a chance of a few downpours.
Overall, the rain threat is trending down, but it’s still not 0%.
There will be rain, especially by late afternoon into the evening. This coincides with the trick-or-treat time, so stay updated on radar before you head out.
A bigger storm risk is likely for next week when we get to the mid-week period.
Late Tuesday into Wednesday brings a stronger front and maybe a round of severe weather. That will become our focus after the weekend.
It turns sharply cooler behind that front late next week into the following weekend.
