WILDWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities in New Jersey are warning residents after police say they recovered some illegal drugs they say resembles candy and vitamins.
In September, law enforcement operations in Wildwood seized meth tablets pressed into the shapes of cartoon characters, dyed in bright colors to resemble candy or stamped with popular insignias.

The Cape May County Prosecutor's office is warning the public about a recent drug seizure that resembles candy.
"With Halloween approaching, the presence of illicit drugs designed to resemble candy or vitamins creates a heightened concern for accidental exposure," according to a New Jersey State Police report obtained by ABC News. "The appearance of these substances may make it difficult for children or parents to distinguish from legitimate items."
NJSP urged parents to inspect treats for misspelled brand names and unusual packaging.
