Man faces 100 counts of child sexual exploitation after cybertip leads to explicit video bust
A cybertip led north Georgia deputies to investigate a man for exploiting children. Now he’s in jail without bond.
According to the Hall County Sherriff’s Office, Andrew Wayne Broome, 36, was interviewed at work during an investigation into his possession of 100 videos depicting children engaging in sexually explicit content.
During the interview, HCSO said Broome admitted to having the content.
Deputies were initially tipped off by a cybertip from the national Center for Missing and Exploited Children earlier this week.

On Thursday, investigators seized his cell phone after interviewing him at his workplace and searched his home in Gainesville, taking out multiple other electronic devices.
HCSO said Broome may be facing additional charges, once the agency is done forensically processing the devices seized while investigators executed the search warrant at his home and for his phone.
At this time, the sheriff’s office said there is no evidence to suggest that the child victims in the videos Broome had are local to the Hall County area.
Broome is being held without bond on 100 counts of felony sexual exploitation of children for possessing child sexual abuse materials.
