Ariella Nur was a second-grade student at A.L. Burruss Elementary School and was involved in several activities, including her school chorus and dance team. She also danced with the Company Ballet at the Georgia Dance Conservancy on the Marietta Square and competed in gymnastics at the Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta.
A fundraiser created in her memory describes her as a child who “always had something to share with her family, friends and classmates.”
“She impacted the lives of everyone she came in contact with,” the fundraiser states.
Nur died Wednesday after a crash at the intersection of Macland Road and Ernest Barrett Parkway, according to the Cobb County Police Department.
Investigators said a red 2016 Kia Forte traveling west on Macland Road was turning left onto Ernest Barrett Parkway when it collided with an eastbound blue 2019 Chevrolet Silverado.
Nur was a passenger in the Kia and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Her father, John Nur, was driving the Kia and was not injured.
The Silverado’s driver was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Members of the A.L. Burruss Elementary and Marietta communities are coming together to support Nur’s family.
“As a community, we want to come together to surround this family with love, compassion, and support,” the fundraiser states.
A fundraiser is collecting donations to help cover funeral and moving expenses, to ease the family’s financial burden as they grieve and honor Ariella’s life.
The organizers are asking people to contribute by Nov. 6. Those who cannot donate are encouraged to share the fundraiser and keep the family in their thoughts.
“No family should have to navigate such a profound loss alone,” the fundraiser states.
Nur’s family, friends and classmates are now left to remember a young girl whose bright personality and many interests touched the people around her.
“She impacted the lives of everyone she came in contact with,” loved ones say.
