Predictions

Las Vegas Review-Journal reporters and editors make their picks for the Las Vegas Raiders game vs. the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday:

Adam Hill

Raiders beat writer/columnist (5-2)

Ashton Jeanty welcomed all the smoke with his comments about the Jets defense. Now he must back it up. He will have his best game since the opener on the ground, and the Raiders will win.

Raiders 24, Jets 20

Sam Gordon

Raiders beat writer/columnist (3-4)

The Raiders get right against a fellow rebuilder, taking advantage of the Jets’ leaky run defense.

Raiders 23, Jets 17

Ed Graney

Columnist (5-2)

Tackling is an important part of football. Ashton Jeanty doesn’t believe the Jets do it all that well. And I can’t get those Geno Smith interceptions out of my head from last year.

Raiders 26, Jets 21

Bill Bradley

Sports Editor (3-4)

If you know at the start of the season that the Raiders would be playing at New York with a chance to be 4-4, wouldn’t you be a happy Raiders fan? Prepare to be satisfied. A quality guy like Aaron Glenn should never have taken the Jets job, and the Raiders will remind him it’s a bad organization.

Raiders 35, Jets 10

Richard Bush

Assistant Sports Editor (4-3)

It’s hard to believe expectations could be much lower for the Jets and coach Aaron Glenn after they allowed the winless Dolphins to get their first victory last Sunday. The Raiders end their four-game losing streak.

Raiders 24, Jets 21
