VIDEO: Driver leads Georgia deputies on chase through Walmart, Lowe’s parking lots

A speeding driver put people at risk while trying to get away from deputies in a chase through two busy shopping center parking lots, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said Dep. Campbell clocked a vehicle traveling 74 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone.

When the deputy tried to pull the driver over, the driver took off.

The vehicle drove through the Walmart and Lowe’s parking lots, endangering drivers, according to deputies.

The chase was captured on dashcam video.

Deputy Hutto joined the chase as the driver tried to exit the parking lot, helping bring the chase to an end.

The sheriff’s office said the driver, a man from Madison, did not have a driver’s license. Deputies also found about 8 grams of marijuana, according to the agency.

He was booked into the county jail.
