Man arrested after home shot up with children inside
A 50-year-old man was arrested Thursday after authorities say he shot up a home in Cherokee County earlier in the week.
Taconda Lashad Bush of Cartersville was charged with felony aggravated assault and felony aggravated stalking in connection with drive-by shooting at a home on McCollum Way in unincorporated Cherokee County.
Deputies responded Tuesday to a damage-to-property call to find damage to a home consistent with the home being shot. Homeowners in the area also reported hearing gunshots.
Authorities say children were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no one was hurt.
Investigators said video surveillance, automated license plate recognition technology and witness interviews helped them identify Bush as the suspect.
Cherokee Sheriff’s Office arrested Bush with the assistance of Bartow County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities believe the shooting may be related to a workplace issue. A permanent protective order was issued in connection with the issue last year.
Officials are investigating a similar incident that happened on Sept. 27 to determine if Bush was linked or if the two incidents are connected.
