HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man out on parole has found himself back in custody after he allegedly pointed a gun at two young kids in an East Houston neighborhood, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident happened on Oct. 11 in the 7300 block of Tremper Street just before 11 a.m.
HPD said that officers responded to a home, where a woman told them that her daughters, ages 3 and 5, ran into the home after a man pointed a gun at them as they played in the driveway.
The woman told officers that she went outside and noticed the man, whom she said was someone from the neighborhood. Officials said the man was running away, reportedly holding a weapon.
HPD said that, with help from neighbors, they located the suspect as he ran and arrested him. HPD said officers then found a weapon nearby in a dumpster. He was identified as 29-year-old Seth Castillo.
Castillo was later charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials learned that Castillo was out on bond after being released from prison in 2025 on parole for an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
HPD did not say if anyone else was hurt.
