Knights goalie returns from injury, but not starting against Devils

The Vegas Golden Knights will have Carter Hart back Friday against the New Jersey Devils, but he will not start.

Hart will back up Adin Hill, who makes his second consecutive start. He made 24 saves in Tuesday’s 4-1 win over Ottawa.

Hart suffered a lower-body injury Tuesday morning when he was projected to start. He returned to practice Thursday.

The Knights reassigned goaltender Cameron Whitehead to AHL Henderson prior to the game to pave way for Hart to return.

Hart’s next start will come during the Knights’ four-game road trip that starts Monday in Boston.
