ICE violently takes man into custody in North Hollywood, points gun at bystander, video shows

A viral video shows ICE agents violently arresting a man in NoHo on Friday.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A video going viral online shows masked ICE agents violently taking a man into custody in North Hollywood on Friday morning.

It happened outside the Ivy at NOHO apartments on Otsego Street.

The video shows the man handcuffed as ICE agents drag him to a vehicle. Three agents were seen picking the man up by his arms and legs as he cried out in pain.

Soon after, an agent approaches a man on the sidewalk walking his dogs, pointing his gun in his face and pushing him into a bush. The bystander appeared to be unarmed. Just before the interaction, he picked up a canister off the sidewalk but quickly threw it to the side as officers rushed toward him, exclaiming, "I thought it was his!"

It's unclear who the man is who ICE took into custody, or why.

Eyewitness News reached out to immigration officials for more information but has yet to hear back.

One witness said she felt scared for the man who was taken by agents.

"Until you actually witness it, it's actually really sad. It's really sad this is going on," neighbor Nancy said. "Whether I was with my child or not, I was a bit scared. I was scared for the man that was being dragged. I was scared for myself and my son. I just didn't feel safe walking outside my apartment building."
