Bronze ‘Witness’ statue installed in Fox Park neighborhood

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A bronze statue called “Witness” that has drawn controversy has been installed in the Fox Park neighborhood of south St. Louis.

The statue features a woman with hair braided in spirals resembling ram’s horns. It is on the campus of Rung for Women, a career-development nonprofit.

Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway opposes the statue. She has called it demonic and a pro-abortion symbol.

Others have praised the artwork, saying it explores women’s autonomy and represents strength.
