Former NJ pre-K aide charged with 29 counts of manufacturing child pornography

WOODBINE, N.J. (WPVI) -- A former South Jersey pre-kindergarten teacher's aide is facing dozens of new charges following a months-long investigation into allegations of sexual assault and child sexual abuse material.

Shaun Stebbins, 44, was originally arrested in March and charged with sexually abusing four children over a period of more than a decade at his home in Somers Point.

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, the investigation began after one of the victims, now an adult, came forward with allegations of abuse. Detectives later identified three additional victims, all of whom are siblings.

Authorities said Stebbins worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher's aide at Woodbine Elementary School in Cape May County from 2022 until his arrest on March 29, 2026.

Since then, investigators have continued examining evidence and determining whether additional crimes occurred.

According to prosecutors, a search of Stebbins' electronic devices uncovered numerous images and videos of students from Woodbine Elementary School.

As a result of the continuing investigation, prosecutors announced that Stebbins was charged on Oct. 30 with 29 counts of manufacturing child pornography, 5 counts of aggravated sexual assault, 13 counts of sexual assault by sexual contact; 14 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the newly filed charges.
