WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WBTV) - A 22-year-old Statesville man was accused of multiple child sex crimes in two different counties in North Carolina.
On Monday, Oct. 26, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Jaleel Miller of Statesville. Both the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the Union County Sheriff’s Office charged Miller with multiple child sex crimes this week.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office charged Miller on Monday with three counts of statutory rape of a child younger than 15 years old, three counts of indecent liberties with a child, and two counts of statutory sexual offense with a child under the age of 15.
According to an arrest warrant, Miller allegedly raped a 14-year-old child in February in Forsyth County. The sheriff’s office did not say how Miller may have known the child.
On Friday, Oct. 30, the Union County Sheriff’s Office charged said they charged Miller with solicitation of a child by computer, indecent liberties with a child and second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office said Miller was allegedly talking to underage girls online in September.
The sheriff’s office said detectives were able to potentially link Miller to other cases involving children.
Miller was booked into the Forsyth County jail and given no bond.
