25,000 children's ceiling swings recalled over fall risk

A brand of children’s ceiling swings with a certain type of hook is being recalled following more than a dozen reports of injuries.

The recall involves Harkla brand children’s sensory swings that were sold from March 2020 through December 2025 online at Amazon.com and at stores including Sensory Tool House, Hammer & Jacks, Loaded Sensory and Renew (Faire). The swings were also sold at Harkla.co. The swings sold for between $100 and $130, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safey Commission. 

More than 25,500 of the swings were purchased in the U.S. and about 5,500 were sold in Canada.

The compression swings have a blue fabric seat and come with a four-hole hook and ceiling mounting hardware for suspension, with a drop length of 18 to 24 inches. Only swings with a four-hole hook are included in this recall. 

The CPSC says the recalled swings’ ceiling hook can separate from its plate posing a risk of serious injury from a fall. 

Why you should care:

Harkla received 29 reports of the swing’s ceiling hook separating. A total of 14 injuries were reported, including two concussions, a broken arm, bumps and bruises.

The CPSC urges anyone who has one of the swings to stop using it immediately until they receive a free repair kit with replacement parts.

If you still have the product packaging, look for an SKU number of LS-COMP-1BLU or LS-COMP-1BLU-SW printed on the side of the product packaging.
