Thrills and chills — we have BOO-tiful weather for Halloween in New England
We have a BOO-tiful Halloween forecast across New England.

Halloween forecast
The day brings plenty of sunshine, but there’s definitely a chill in the air. Afternoon temperatures only climb into the 50s, a little cooler than normal for this time of year but much cooler than yesterday. A northwest breeze will stick around through midday before gradually easing into the afternoon.
The good news for all the ghosts, goblins and trick-or-treaters is that the weather stays completely dry. Just make sure those costumes have room for an extra layer. Temperatures will drop quickly after sunset, with widespread 20s and lower 30s expected overnight.

A frosty and freezing start to November is on the way.

When do we turn the clocks back?
Enjoy the last sunset after 5 p.m. of 2026. Daylight saving time ends Sunday morning, so that means an extra hour of Halloween festivities for night owls or sleep for those taking advantage!
Standard time means sunrises at 6:17 a.m. and sunsets at 4:37 p.m.

November forecast
The forecast beyond Halloween is looking more like a treat than a trick! High pressure takes over Sunday and sticks around for much of the upcoming week, bringing a fantastic stretch of dry weather and plenty of sunshine.
Temperatures rebound into the 60s, running warmer than average for early November, with light winds making for some really comfortable fall afternoons.

The quiet weather looks to continue through at least Thursday before our next potential storm system approaches late Thursday into Friday.
Rain chances are increasing for Friday, but the timing and details are still uncertain. Until then, enjoy the sunshine and mild afternoons.
