Senatobia group honors Kohen Wiley with supply giveaway
SENATOBIA, Miss. (WMC) - The Senatobia community is honoring Kohen Wiley, 1, who was shot and killed by police, by providing families with the supplies they need.
A Senatobia police officer shot Kohen in June after his great-aunt was spotted on camera walking out with a pack of diapers.
Wiley would have celebrated his second birthday this weekend.
The Senatobia Committee for Accountability and Transparency is honoring Kohen by giving out diapers, wipes, food, and other resources.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the city’s community center located at 104 Southern Avenue.
Participants must pre-register on the committee’s Facebook page.
