Watch: Suspected drunk driver crashes truck into California restaurant

CONCORD, Calif. - A suspected drunk driver crashed a truck into Chicken Thyme restaurant in Concord, California, on Saturday, Oct. 24, sending glass and debris flying and startling diners.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to local news reports.

Security camera footage shows the truck smashing through the restaurant’s front door. Owner Fraidoon Jamshed told Storyful that the crash caused extensive damage to a structural support column, forcing the dining area to close while repairs are underway.
