Nursing pillows sold on Amazon recalled over suffocation risk

Published October 31, 2026 9:14 AM EDT

article

The CPSC announced a recall on Pillani nursing pillows because of a suffocation risk. (CPSC)

Tens of thousands of nursing pillows sold on Amazon were recalled because they do not meet the standards designed to prevent a baby from suffocating while the products are being used.

Big picture view:

The recall covers more than 25,000 Pillani nursing pillows that were sold between April 2026 and September 2026, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Why you should care:

The CPSC indicated the products violated mandatory safety standards established for nursing pillows and could pose a serious risk of injury or death to children. The commission’s website alleged the pillows may obstruct a child’s ability to breathe and may be a suffocation risk.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Recalled nursing pillows

The CPSC website noted that the U-shaped pillows came with a smaller pillow attached to the top with an adjustable waist strap and cost between $30 and $40 on the online retailer. They came in multiple prints and colors, including:

  • Cloud and stars
  • Wild animal
  • White with leaf and feather
  • Stars
  • Pink with leaf
  • Light blue
  • Pink
  • Light yellow
  • Gray
  • Light gray
  • Beige
  • Light green

The pillows were sold with the model number NP4351 and had the batch numbers 202604, 202605, or 202606. Those numbers, along with the brand name, are printed on the attached label.

What you can do:

The CPSC advises people who bought one of the pillows to contact Pillani to receive a full refund. Those who reach out to the company will need to send a photograph of the pillow, and they will receive instructions for how to get rid of the pillow.

Customers seeking a refund can contact Pillani by email or by going to the company’s recall page.
