Man shot after dispute between relatives leads to gunfire, police say

A 25-year-old man was hospitalized Friday night after being shot at an Atlanta residence, according to police. Police said the shooting resulted from an argument between relatives.

Atlanta Police Zone four officers responded to a report of a person shot at 3870 Boulder Park Dr. SW at approximately 10:48 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Police said the man was alert, conscious and breathing when emergency personnel arrived and an ambulance took him to a local hospital.

Preliminary findings indicate that an argument between relatives escalated to gunfire, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Investigators with the department’s Domestic Violence Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
