Local gas station turns haunted house for Halloween fun
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A northwest Albuquerque Chevron has turned into a haunted gas station, where six employees spent more than a week building free Halloween scares.
KOB 4 visited the Chevron gas station near Irving Boulevard and Coors Boulevard, where employees said they have transformed the station into a haunted stop for the last 12 years.
The display includes creepy decorations and jump scares for people who stop by for gas or snacks. Employees told us this is their favorite part of the year and said the haunted setup gets bigger each year.
“I thought it was cool and I thought that they were ready for Halloween,” said Mia Valdez who visited the gas station.
Staff at the gas station told KOB 4 people do not need to buy anything to walk through and see the Halloween setup.
