Motorcyclist, 23, dies in crash on H-2 freeway

A 23-year old man died this afternoon in a motorcycle crash on H-2 freeway near Mililani, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.

At 1:50 p.m., EMS said paramedics responded to a “single motorcyclist collision” on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Meheula Parkway, but the man was dead on arrival.

Honolulu police did not release any immediate information about the crash but they closed the H-2 northbound lanes in the area as emergency crews responded and officers investigated.

Northbound vehicles were being detoured off H-2 at the Mililani off-ramp to Kamehameha Highway. Police asked the public to avoid the area if possible.
