Police investigate deadly double shooting in Philadelphia's Cobbs Creek neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A deadly ambush-style shooting is under investigation in Philadelphia's Cobbs Creek neighborhood.

Police say a man was killed, and a woman was injured after multiple gunmen shot at them.

The incident occurred just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday near 60th and Pine streets.

Officers say they first found the woman, who was shot in the leg, and then they discovered there was another victim.

Shortly after, they found a 25-year-old man on the 5900 block of Osage Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives say surveillance video appears to show the couple being chased by at least two shooters.

"The male victim then was further chased down by these shooters about a block and a half, almost two blocks. The shooters continued shooting at this individual until finally he collapsed," said Inspector D.F. Pace.

Police say the man died at the scene.

The woman is in the hospital in stable condition.

So far, there's no word on any arrests, or a potential motive.
