Pokémon Happy Meals are coming back to McDonald's in a fun new way

Pokémon is returning to the Golden Arches just in time for the Japanese franchise’s 30th birthday.

The limited-time Pokémon Happy Meal at McDonald’s will be available nationwide starting on Nov. 10 and it’s filled with fun goodies, according to The Pokémon Company.

Each meal will come in one of three Happy Meal boxes designed to look like Pikachu, Umbreon or Torchic. The meals will include Pokémon-themed collectible toys and Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) cards.

McDonald’s also announced the new Pokémon Happy Meal Oct. 29 on Instagram, writing, “3 boxes. 15 toys. 2 cards with every collectible. Pokémon Happy Meal coming 11.10.26.”

What’s in the Pokémon Happy Meal?

The Pokémon Happy Meal fans can “catch” will be served in one of three boxes featuring designs inspired by Pikachu, Umbreon and Torchic.

Each box will contain one collectible toy shaped like a small Happy Meal box in the style of various Pokémon characters, including Fuecoco, Sprigatito, Quaxly, Eevee, Umbreon and Bulbasaur.

There are a total of 15 Happy Meal toys in the new collection.

The meals will also feature two Pokémon TCG cards fans can add to their collection. A total of 15 cards will be available to discover, with seven foil cards in the mix.

The new Pokémon Happy Meals will be available for a limited time while supplies last at participating McDonald’s across the country.

Fans of Pokémon on Instagram responded gleefully to the news about the new Happy Meals.

“I’m loving it,” wrote one person, who added emoji of McDonald’s fries and a burger.

“AWWWWWW YEEUH. About to eat an absurd amount of happy meals,” wrote someone else.

Pokémon and McDonald’s have collaborated several times over the decades. Last year, the two companies teamed up on a Pokémon Happy Meal that included Pokémon TCG cards, a Pokémon poster and a sticker sheet.
