THE WEEK AHEAD (11/02-08/2026): Another Chance for Rain
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Another cloudy day is in the forecast Monday, but we won’t have to wait long for the next chance for rain.
Election Day Tuesday starts off with mostly cloudy skies and dry conditions, but spotty showers after noon make way for a long of rain and storms that begins to push through the region around sunset.
The bulk of that rain comes around when polls close through just after midnight, with lingering showers through Wednesday morning.
Wednesday features steadily drying conditions throughout the day with periods of afternoon sunshine and highs nearing 70 degrees.
Most of the area is likely to see around half an inch of rainfall, with some localized spots seeing as much as 2″+.
The severe weather threat remains low, but a damaging wind gust cannot be ruled out in the western half of the Mid-South.
After the storms move out Wednesday, drier and cooler conditions will be met with periods of sunshine to end the week before highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s over the weekend come with spotty shower chances.
