3 injured in crash involving LA County Sheriff's deputy in La Puente

LA PUENTE, Calif. (KABC) -- Three people were injured in a crash involving a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department vehicle in La Puente Sunday morning.

Video posted on the Citizen app captured the aftermath of the collision.

According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, a deputy was responding to a call shortly after 10 a.m. when the crash occurred. The deputy was entering the intersection of Hacienda Boulevard and Temple Avenue when the sheriff's vehicle was struck by an SUV.

The deputy's vehicle then veered into a residential driveway and crashed into a parked vehicle.

Two people in the SUV and the deputy were transported to a hospital. Authorities have not released information on their conditions.
