Community commemorates Dr. Reginald Green with private book signing and legacy celebration

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Students and supporters honored a lifetime of leadership and inspiration in our community.

Former students, colleagues, and family members gathered on Sunday for a private book signing celebrating Dr. Reginald Leon Green.

The special event honored decades of dedication ahead of his 86th birthday later this month, giving loved ones and mentees a chance to reflect on his enduring impact and legacy as an educator and mentor.

“It’s gratifying to know that you touch some individuals and just came by and said that everything that I taught in my classes had come to fruition, and what a wonderful feeling to believe that things that I’ve taught,” Dr. Reginald Green said.

Organizers said Sunday’s gathering was about ensuring his decades of service and commitment to future generations are never forgotten.
