Could New England break a weather November record this week?
Big twist to the forecast this week. We’re bucking the chilly, gray, wet November narrative and bringing in days of warmth and sunshine. We’re expecting highs to leap back near 70 for the entire workweek as abnormally mild air flows into New England.

While we’d typically expect our highs to be in the mid-50s, this week our low temperatures will be near that value from Wednesday to Friday.
The warmest day is likely to be Wednesday as we creep close to record territory (78) for the day. If we can make five straight 70+ days, we will break the record for consecutive 70-degree days in November (the current stands at 4). The record for the greatest number of 70-degree days for the month is 6, set back in 2022 and 2020 – in addition to other years.

Showers will eventually catch up to us by the end of the week, and by then we’ll sorely need the rain.
We expect breezes to kick up Wednesday and Thursday and combined with leaf drop and the recent dry spell, fire danger is likely to increase.
The weekend will see us drop back closer to normal as the pattern shifts wetter into next week.
Have a great week and enjoy the late season warm up.
