Storm Team4 Forecast: Mild, dry Monday but expect rain later by end of week

4 things to know about the weather:

  1. Mild week ahead
  2. Easy Election Day weather
  3. Rain returns Thursday
  4. Cool, dry weekend

It’s now been 15 full days since our last drop of rain and finally there is rain on the horizon. Rain is likely to impact all your Thursday and could last a long way into Friday as well.

This doesn’t look like a blockbuster amount of rain, most area will get half an inch of rain or less, but it will be nice to give everything a drink or rinse. These rain chances should be gone in time to leave the weekend dry, but with another storm possibly reaching us next Monday.

While we wait for the rain to get here, these next few days are going to be to delightfully mild. Now that we’re under 11 hours of daylight, the extra ability to cool down overnight will lead to the risk of fog each of the next three to four mornings.

That fog won’t last long after sunrise and there will be enough sunshine to keep temperatures comfortably above average. Highs Monday afternoon will return to the mid-to-upper 60s.

Election Day forecast

Tuesday, Election Day, will start in the 40s to around 50° and some patchy fog. By Tuesday afternoon, most of the area will be back above 70°.

Wednesday also looks to be really mild. With highs easily reaching the mid-70s, we’ll be more than 10° above average. Even once the rain arrives, the mild air will longer. With temperatures still close to 70° this will feel more like September showers instead of a cold, November rainfall.

Highs this weekend will return to the 60s. Mid-60s on Saturday and low 60s on Sunday. The long range forecast is for a much cooler, far more typical of November, pattern to return.

Highs next week will be in the 50s to near 60° with overnight lows in the 30s to around 40°. Be sure to enjoy these next three mild, dry days as best you can.
