Some rain chances linger into the new week
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Gloomy skies will fit the mood this Monday as we enter the new week with some lingering rain chances.
Passing showers and drizzle are possible from the morning into the afternoon.
The extra clouds should keep temperatures below 80 for a high, but humidity is high. Rain chances are around 30%.
Early on, we were watching the potential for a more impactful storm in the middle of this week. That has faded tremendously in recent modeling as the front approaching looks really weak.
This should limit us to only spotty rain with that frontal passage Wednesday and the severe threat looks minimal.
Late week is when things get better as drier air filters in and sunshine returns.
Temperatures remain on the warm side, but that may change by early next week as we’re tracking a much stronger front by then.
