LIVE RADAR: Flood watch in effect on Monday as storms roll through South Florida
We have an upper-level low in the eastern Gulf, and this is bringing plenty of moisture and lift to South Florida.
That combo will keep periods of showers and storms in the forecast for us on Monday. Considering the heavy rain we picked up Sunday, it won’t take much to get some flooding again.
This is precisely why we are under a flood watch until 7 p.m. Multiple inches of additional rain are possible in spots. See all weather alerts here.
Rain chances are highest Monday and then slowly lower over the next two days. The operative word is slowly, as we still look unsettled.
The end of the week and weekend, however, look fabulous. Hang in there!
Bands of heavy rain are expected to move onshore periodically through the afternoon. Storms from the Gulf are then expected to push across South Florida this afternoon through the evening. https://t.co/gIONoH28FJ
