HARRISBURG, N.C. (WBTV) - A lucky Powerball player in Cabarrus County is $2 million richer following the Halloween weekend drawing.
The winner bought the $3 Power Play ticket from Sam’s Mart on Highway 49 near Saddle Creek Court in Harrisburg.
Lottery officials said the winning ticket matched all five white balls on Saturday, Oct. 31 — 2, 4, 18, 50, and 56 — to win an initial $1 million. The prize then doubled to $2 million when the 2X multiplier was drawn, overcoming 1-in-11.6 million odds.
