Man arrested, charged with murder after West Side shooting, SAPD says

A 50-year-old man was charged with murder after a woman was fatally shot over the weekend on the West Side, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting happened just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 9900 block of State Highway 151.

When officers arrived, they learned a man, later identified as Manuel Espinoza, entered a location and shot a 75-year-old woman in the torso, according to police.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is unknown.

After investigating, police said officers took Espinoza into custody and charged him with murder.

At this time, the relationship between the two is unclear, and what prompted the shooting is unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
