Spanberger urges Virginians to vote, citing ‘chaos out of Washington’
Gov. Abigail Spanberger urged eligible Virginians to vote Tuesday, pointing to congressional races and three proposed constitutional amendments as opportunities to shape the state’s and country’s future.
“Virginians can use their votes to choose representatives who they believe will address their top-of-mind challenges, contend with the chaos out of Washington, and always put them first,” Spanberger said in an Election Day statement.
The Democratic governor also highlighted amendments addressing reproductive rights, marriage equality and voting rights.
“At a time when chaos and uncertainty continue to dominate our national politics, we can send a clear message about the future we want to build — one grounded in accountability, steady leadership, and a commitment to delivering for people.”
